Let's assume that this is For your Museum Exhibit, and that you are using a BCD Controller with 5 buttons to control your 15-minute, 5-segment DVD.

• Video Capture/MPEG-2 Encoding
  This is the conversion of your video tape (BetaCamSP, DV, or (eeech!) VHS. VOB Multiplexing is included, but separate files are extra ($20.00/file). Chapter Marks are $50.00 per tape-hour. (We prefer encoding segments as separate files because it gives greater flexability.)
  MPEG-2 Encoding : $ 200.00 per 1/2 hour or $300.00 per hour
  

• Attract Loop
  You want a continuous Attract Loop (like a screen saver) that attracts people to your presentation and encourages them to interact - press a button. For us, an Attract Loop is really a Menu with invisible buttons.)
  

  It is made up of 6 still images like a slide show, OR it is a 2-3 minute portion of your video. It plays forever unless someone presses a button.
  

  When a visitor presses ANY of the 5 buttons, the DVD goes to the Main Menu. In fact, the Attract Loop is a menu with 5 choices, but all of the choices go to the same place, to the Main Menu.
  

  The only thing that really distinguishes an Attract Loop from an ordinary Menu is that the on-screen menu buttons are invisible. You or your video production company are generally responsible for producing the attract loop, although we can do it for you. We also encourage you to add words similar to "Press Button for Video" so your visitors won't just stand around looking at the repetitive Atract Loop!
  Attract Loop: Not including video production) : $100.00

  the Attract Loop IS the main menu (Button #3 takes you directly to Segment #3) : $200.00
  

• Main Menu
  This Menu is a graphic produced by you, or by us at extra charge. Our Menu charge is for programming the "hot spots" to go to the various segments. Not required if the Attract Loop is the Main Menu.

• Menu Items (on-screen Menu Buttons)
  Each item on the Menu (or Attract Loop/Menu) has to do something or go somewhere when it is clicked. This charge is for determining what is done for each item and then what is done when that item finishes.
  

  For a conventional DVD (non-button controlled), this is also where we assign what happens when you press the arrow keys on your hand-held remote. We can make arrow keys go from any menu item to any other... even to some invisible/hidden items (Easter Eggs). Someone's gotta do it. It doesn't happen automatically!

• Authoring
  This is a general term which actually encompasses all of the above and a little more. For this project, we would require about 2 hours at $125.00 per hour.
